Madison Valley

Tucked between the Spanish Peaks, the Madison Range, and the Gravelly Range, the Madison Valley is a unique spot where Montana’s rugged Rocky Mountains and fertile valleys come together to create the setting for the best Montana ranch land for sale anywhere in the state. The area also offers amazing fly-fishing, with the town of Ennis claiming to be, “The Fly Fishing Capital of the World.” The Madison Valley makes a persuasive argument to support this claim with the "Channels" section of the Madison River, and the Bighole, Beaverhead, Yellowstone, Ruby or Gallatin Rivers all closeby.

Madison Valley is one of the brightest spots in the southwest Montana real estate market. One of our national treasures is just down the road from one of our national treasures, Yellowstone National Park.  Explore Old Faithful or the breath taking Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. In the Lamar and Hayden Valleys you’ll find one of the only place in the U.S. where you can still see bears and wolves, elk and buffalo.

Madison Valley also holds some amazing Montana history in the ghost towns of Virginia & Nevada City. Virginia City sits high in the mountains in a bowl along Alder Gulch. Gold was first discovered in 1863, and the town quickly grew to over 10,000 people, becoming the Territorial Capital in 1865. Today, Virginia City's main street provides an exceptional example of architecture from the late 1800s, making an attractive backdrop for some of the best property for sale in Montana.
